HOW IT ALL STARTED
Oahu Hike Club began with two friends — Dana and Maruf — brought together by a shared passion for hiking and early mornings. Life soon took Maruf on a different path, and he left the island. But Dana, deeply moved by her love for the mountains and curiosity about human interaction, chose to carry the vision forward.
Originally from Latvia in North Eastern Europe, Dana grew up surrounded by peaks, racing through the Alps as a competitive alpine skier. She spent nearly every month in the mountains, drawn to the way nature challenges and grounds us. Later, after building a life in Hawaii, she felt a calling to give back — not just to the land, but to the people. That’s when Oahu Hike Club was born.
What started as a casual weekend hike has grown into a vibrant community rooted in challenge, curiosity, and connection. Everyone is a part of this community and it wouldn't be possible without YOU!

is to create an open, inspiring space where anyone feels welcome to connect, move, and grow.
Whether you're a lifelong local, a recent resident, or just visiting the island, Oahu Hike Club is for everyone at any time and any age.
We explore not only through weekly hikes on Oahu, but by traveling to other islands — and one day, the world — building friendships through shared experiences in nature. Our club is rooted in the belief that adventure brings people together and that doing good doesn't cost a thing.
We live that belief by organizing community impact events like beach cleanups, trail maintenance days, and giving back to the places that give so much to us.
OHC is more than a hike — it's a movement toward fulfillment, thriving, and pushing your limits alongside others doing the same.

We organize weekly hikes, travel experiences, and community-driven events that bring people together. Whether it’s a sunrise summit, sunset hike, or a trail run collab, OHC is about creating moments that make you feel alive — and proud of who you're becoming.
Beyond adventures, we also support purpose-driven brands by helping them gain visibility through our events and content. We're always open to meaningful partnerships that align with our values of growth, community, and creativity.
